2 fake factory owners fined Tk. 1.30 lakh in Rangpur
RANGPUR, Nov 5, 2020 (BSS) – A mobile court fined owners of two fake factories TK 1.30 lakh for producing and marketing impure water for integrated power system (IPS), batteries and other products for vehicles in the metropolis in separate overnight drives last night.
The court also seized huge fake water for IPS, Super Volvo Battery, raw materials, chemicals, plastic goods, machineries and other accessories worth around TK 50 lakh.
“The Detective Branch (DB) of Rangpur Metropolitan Police (RpMP) launched the mobile court led by Executive Magistrate Mahmudul Hasan Mridha to stop production and marketing of fake and adulterated products in the city,” a press release said today.
Additional Deputy Police Commissioner (DB) of RpMP Uttam Kumar Pathak, Assistant Police Commissioner (DB) Md. Faruk Ahmed, Inspector ABM Feroz Wahid and other officials concerned were present.
The mobile court fined factory owner Raihan Mian TK one lakh and seized huge fake water for IPS, Super Volvo Battery, raw materials, chemicals, plastic goods and machineries worth around TK 40 lakh from the factory in Chila Jhal area of the metropolis.
In another drive, the mobile court fined factory owner Abdul Matin TK 30 thousand in the same area and seized fake water for Volvo Battery and IPL Battery, raw materials and machineries worth Taka 10 lakh , the release added.
