International match increases self-confidence: Zico
DHAKA, Nov 4, 2020 (BSS) – Goal keeper Anisur Rahman Zico today said his self-confidence level will increase if he is able to get chance to play international matches regularly.
“If I get a chance to play international matches on a regular basis, my confidence will increase and I will be able to do better in all the future matches,” said Zico during the practice session at the Bangabandhu National Stadium today.
The Bashundhara Kings custodian Anisur Rahman Zico has played a big role for the victory of the team by showing great domestic football. His teammates find confidence if Zico stands under the bar or the match role into a tie breaker.
“My teammates put a big confidence in me if the match goes to a tiebreaker. I also try to win the match by giving my best effort …. it is totally a matter of timing because if I focus on the ball and if I am able to observe the player till the last then the ball can be stopped,” he added.
The national team had no practice today. The four goalkeepers of the primary squad had practice under the new national team goalkeeping coach Les Cleevely.
Replying to a question, Zico said the new coach knows where the problem is and putting more emphasis on that so that soon we can solve it and be able to play.
Bangladesh national football team are scheduled to play two international friendlies against Nepal on November 13 and 17 at Bangabandhu National Stadium.
