Shailakupa upazila chairman passes away
SHAILAKUPA, Nov 4, 2020 (BSS) – Shailakupa Upazila Awami League (AL) President and Upazila Chairman Shikder Mosharraf Hossain Sona died of old age complications at Jhenaidah Sador Hospital at 11am today at the age of 72.
He is survived by his wife, three sons, a daughter,, said a press release.
Mosharraf Hossain Sona was a freedom fighter. He was elected general secretary of Shailakupa Upazila Awami League several times.
He was buried at the family graveyard at Nolkhola following namaz-e-janaza at Shailakupa Government Degree College field after Asr prayers today.
Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Shikder Mosharraf Hossain Sona.
