Khaleque for stopping political killing,coup forever

KHULNA, Nov 04, 2020 (BSS) – Khulna City Mayor Talukder Abdul Khaleque has asked leaders, activists and supporters of Awami League (AL) and its associate bodies to remain ever alert to stop killing and coup from politics forever.

“Anti-liberation forces are still plotting intrigues against the country to impede ongoing massive developments for taking revenge for their huge defeat in 1971 and everyone should remain alert to foil their evil plots with united efforts ,” he said.

He said late military ruler turn politician Ziaur Rahman and Khondokar Moshtak, the villain, most reviled and betrayer of cabinet member of Father of the Nation Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, were the mastermind and designed the devil plot for killing the four national leaders by their associates Bangabandhu killers Col (Rtd) Sayed Faruk Rahman, Lt. Col(Rtd) Khondokar Abdur Rashid and their cohorts.

The Mayor said now it is the demand of the nation for bringing back all absconding killers of Bangabandhu and four national leaders at the earliest to expedite the court’s verdicts.

Talukder Abdul Khaleque, also President of city unit Awami League (AL) said this while presiding over the discussion meeting held marking the 45th Jail Killing Day of four national leaders at the party office in front of city’s Shaheed Hadis Park after Magrib prayer yesterday .

General Secretary of city unit AL MDA Babul Rana, AL leaders advocate Chisty Sohrab Hossain, Munshi Mahbub Alam Sohag, Prof Alamgir Kabir Zahangir Hossain Khan, advocate Aloka Nanda Das, Sheikh Sayed Ali, were among others, addressed it .

Awami League (AL) leaders said killers of four national leaders inside Dhaka Central Jail on November 3, 1975 after assassination of Bangabandhu aimed at annihilating AL, national independence and Bangladesh.

A doa Mahfil was held after the discussion meeting.

Earlier, national and party flags were hoisted at half-mast atop all party offices while leaders and activists wore black badges.

They also placed wreaths at the portraits of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the four national leaders.
