Four shops fined Tk 6 lakh in Sylhet
SYLHET, Nov 4, 2020 (BSS) – Four shops were fined Tk 6 lakh for selling unauthorized and date expired products conducting drives in city’s Mirzajangal and Akhaliya area.
A team of Directorate of National Consumers Rights Protection (DNCRP), Sylhet led by assistant director Amirul Islam Masud conducted the drives and fined the Sylhet Food products Limited Tk one lakh and 25,000, G&S food products Tk 3 lakh, Mohana Mistannya Tk one lakh and Aadi Mohanlal Tk 75,000 for selling date expired products.
Masud said DNCRP conducted drives in the areas and fined four shops for selling date expired, unhygienic and adulterated foods and manufacturing those in illegal process.
Such drive against the violations of consumers’ rights would continue in the days to come, he said.
