2 fined for fishing in Jamuna
JAMALPUR, Nov 3, 2020 (BSS)- A mobile court fined two fishermen on charges of fishing in the river Jamuna in Islampur Upazila of the district on Monday evening.
According to District Fisheries Office sources, the court led by Executive Magistrate, Md Rokanuzzaman launched a drive in the river and detained two fishermen.
The court fined the two fishermen TK one thousand each for fishing defying the ban on catching Hilsha fish.
The Mobile court also seized 1000 meters current nets and later destroyed those
