Hasan condoles death of journo Abul Hasnat
DHAKA, Nov 1, 2020 (BSS) – Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Abul Hasnat, editor of ‘Kali O Kolom’, a popular monthly magazine on art, literature and culture.
In a condolence message, the minister said Hasnat will ever be remembered for his contribution to literature and culture.
Hasan, also Awami League joint general secretary, prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
Hasnat passed away this morning while undergoing treatment at a hospital in the capital. He had been hospitalised since September 15 due to lung infection.
Apart from journalism, Abul Hasnat had also written stories and poems. He received Bangla Academy Award in 2013.
