DHAKA, Nov 1, 2020 (BSS) – A group of medical and dental college students blocked the Shahbagh intersection today for two hours demanding a session jam free academic year amid Covid-19 pandemic.

The students under the banner of “General Medical and Dental Students” demonstrated, blocking the road around 11:00am today.

The demands of the students include bringing an alternative to professional tests, starting online classes to eliminate session clutter without delay, and to consider the health risks of medical students on a priority basis in all examinations and class orders.

The protesting students are concerned about the session jam and hence want the authorities to start the classes for the next year online but they are reluctant to sit in for the announced professional test concerning severe health risks.
