DHAKA, Nov 01, 2020 (BSS) – Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today predicted rain or thundershowers at many places of the country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9am today.
“Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions, at a few places over Dhaka, Mymensingh, Rajshahi and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Rangpur division,” said a met office bulletin issued here.
Day temperature may fall slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, it said.
As a weather prediction for the next 72 hours, the bulletin said that rain and thundershowers may decrease gradually.
The highest temperature was recorded 34.6 degrees Celsius in Sayedpur on Saturday while today’s lowest temperature was 20.7 degrees Celsius in Tetulia.
The sun sets at 5:19pm today and rises at 6:05 am tomorrow in the capital.
