Strengthening community policing for crime free society stressed in Netrakona
NETRAKONA Oct 31, 2020 (BSS) – Speakers at a discussion meeting on “Community Policing “here today underlined the need for creating mass awareness and building up strong social resistance against all sorts of crime and terrorism.
“People from all walks of life in the society should come forward to gear up the community policing network and wage‘social movement’ for removing all anti-social, criminal activities and terrorism including eve-teasing, early marriage, rape, women repression and drug-addiction” they said.
Netrakona district police organized the meeting at local public hall marking the community policing day.
Habiba Rahman Khan Shefali MP addressed the meeting as chief guest while Superintendent Of Police (SP), Netrakona Akber Ali Munshi was in the chair.
Speaking on the occasion, Shefali MP called upon the people of all walks of life to join their hands in the united efforts of police and people for accelerating the community policing activities to build up massive social resistance against all sorts of crimes , terrorism and militancy.
The meeting was addressed, among others, by Deputy Commissioner Netrakona Kaji Mohammad Abdur Rahman, Chairman of Netrakona Zila Parishad Prasanta Kumar Ray, Mayor of Netrakona municipality Nazrul Islam Khan, Chairman of Netrakona sadar Upazila Parishad Tafsir Uddin Khan, former Commander of district Muktizoddha Sangasad Nurul Amin and General Secretary of Netrakona press club Shamolendu Paul.
