Friendly matches can be good preparation for team: Zico
DHAKA, Oct 30, 2020 (BSS) – National goalkeeper Anisur Rahman Zico today said the two practice matches against Nepal can be a perfect preparation for the team for the World Cup Qualifiers, AFC matches scheduled to be held next year.
“We cannot say right now that we’ll be able to give our hundred percent in the field against Nepal because we did not all train together for a long time …. from the next two friend matches against Nepal, we’ll try to do better in the future matches,” said Zico to the reporters during the team’s practice session at the Bangabandhu National Stadium today.
Replying to a question, Zico said the coach always gave us training schedule when we were at home during the COVID-19 situation but the individual training and team’s training is not the same. Many have trained in club but have not played any match, so we’ll try to give our best in the two upcoming matches.
Zico, however, upbeat to give their best effort against Nepal to win the two matches.
Bangladesh will host Nepal in the two friendly matches on November 13 and 17 at Bangabandhu National Stadium.
