Foundation stone of model mosque laid at Adamdighi
BOGRA, Oct 30, 2020 (BSS) – The foundation stone of a model mosque was laid at Adamdighi upazila here today.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Bogra Md Ziaul Haque formally laid the foundation stone for construction of the model mosque before the Jumma prayers.
Md Ziaul Hauque said Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman established Islamic Foundation and expanded Islam in the country.
“A vested quarter killed Bangabandhu and misled the people in the name of Islam. Presently, his worthy daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has given instruction to construct a model mosque at every upazila,” he said.
Public Works Department (PWD) would implement the construction work at a cost of Taka 12.56 lakh.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Sima Sharmin presided over the function, while Executive Engineer Baki Ullah, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Mahbuba Haque and Upazila Chairman Sirajul Islam addressed the function, among other.
