Freedom fighter Haider Anwar Khan Juno passes away

DHAKA, Oct 29, 2020 (BSS) – Freedom fighter and communist leader Haider Anwar Khan Juno passed away at a hospital in the capital this noon.

He was 76, family sources said.

Earlier on September 24, Haider Anwar Khan Juno, the younger brother of communist leader Haider Akbar Khan Rano, was put on life support as his health condition deteriorated.

Juno was admitted to Square Hospitals on September 15 with pneumonia and heart failure.

Haider Anwar Khan Juno was born in Kolkata in 1944. Their ancestral home is in Barashula village of Narail.

In a condolence message, Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) President Hasanul Haq Inu and General Secretary Shirin Akhter expressed deep shock at his death.

They prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family members.
