Husband gets life imprisonment for killing wife in Sylhet
SYLHET, Oct 28, 2020 (BSS) – A court here today sentenced a man to life imprisonment for killing his wife in Pirerchak area of the city six years back.
Additional Metropolitan Session Judge of Sylhet Mominun Nessa Khanam handed down the verdict to Abdul Mazid.
According to prosecution, Abdul Mazid stabbed his wife Lipi Begum to death on December 29, 2014 over a family feud.
Later, the victim’s father filed a case with Sylhet Shahporan Rh. Police Station on December 30.
