Fugitive accused held in city
GOPALGANJ, Oct 28, 2020 (BSS) – A fugitive accused has been arrested from Keraniganj, outskirts of the city.
The arrestee identified as Swapan Mollah, an inhabitant in Chandpur district, is a convict in sensational Junnun murder case in Muksudpur upazila of Gopalganj district.
Officer-in-Charge of Muksudpur police station Abu Bakar Mia said on information a team of police led by Sub-Inspector Jamirul conducted a raid at Keraniganj on Monday night and arrested Swapan.
Swapan Mollah was taken to Muksudpur Thana yesterday and produced before a court in the district today. Junnun was murdered in 2006 in Muksudpur.
