Two held over Faruq murder in Meherpur
MEHERPUR, Oct 27, 2020 (BSS) – Two people were held by the police over Faruq Hossain murder.
Police Super of Meherpur SM Murad Ali confirmed the incident at a press briefing this evening at his office.
He said Faruque, who is a resident in Thana Para, gave his confessional statement at a magistrate court today. The other detainee was identified as Daud Hossain, resident of the same area.
Murad Ali said on information, Faruque was held in Dhaka city while Daud was held in Meherpur yesterday. They were sent to jail, he added.
SM Murad also said victim Faruq and detainee Faruque was each other’s friend. Arrested Faruque spent eight years in Malaysia. Victim Faruq might have a relation with detainee Faruq’s wife.
Field worker of the Department of Social Service Faruq Hossain, 36, was killed on October 22 at the town at night.
