No scope of influencing investigation into IrfanSalim’s case: DMP
DHAKA, Oct 27, 2020 (BSS) – Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Md Shafiqul Islam today said there is no possibility of influencing the investigation into the case filed against IrfanSalim, son of lawmaker Haji Salim, over attack on a navy officer.
“There is no scope to induce the investigation into navy officer attack case in whichHaziSalim’s son IrfanSalim is involved,” the DMP commissioner said while opening “Quick Response Team and Emergency Hotline Number” at Tejgaon thana complex here.
He added: “Police, without any influence, are investigating the case over beating a naval officer . . . No one will be able to exert influence if they want.”
Replying to a query, the DMP commissioner said police will investigate the case within the shortest possible time and submit its report.
“We have taken the case seriously. Senior police officials are in constant touch with the case,” he added.
