No alternate to tech advancement: Farhad
DHAKA, Oct 27, 2020 (BSS) – State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain said there is no alternate to technological advancement to keep pace with the developed world.
He said this while speaking as the chief guest at the inaugural function of the 41st National Science and Technology Week and National Science Olympiad organised by the district administration at Meherpur today, a press release said.
Farhad said, “The present world is technology-based world. The developed countries of the world have come a long way in science and technology. So, in order to make a developed country, we also need to acquire more skills in science and technology.”
He further said, “Students have to be science-minded. In this case, teachers can play a very important role. Therefore, teachers also need to be qualified through necessary training.”
Referring to the need for science club and science lab, the state minister said science clubs play an important role in making students science-minded. Therefore, science clubs should be formed in every educational institution.
Police Super of Meherpur SM Murad Ali, General Secretary of Meherpur Zila Awami League MA Khaleque spoke as special guests at the inaugural function with Meherpur Deputy Commissioner Dr. Munsur Alam in the chair.
