Youth arrested over rape of 2 children in Khulna
KHULNA, Oct 27, 2020 (BSS) – Police arrested a youth last night from Sheikhpara area in the city on the charges of raped two children.
The arrested was identified as Hiru Mia, 30, a Mahendra driver and resident of Mujgunni Sheikhpara area in the city.
The accused was sent to jail after was he produced before the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court (CMM) today.
The victims were admitted to One Stop Crisis Center (OCC) of Khulna Medical College Hospital (KMCH).
Quoting parents of the victims, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Khalishpur Police Station Kazi Moshtak Ahmed told BSS that Hiru Mia raped a fourth grader female student, 11, and another 10-year-old female child of Mujgunni Sheikhpara area in the city alluring them with foods.
One of the victims told her parents about the rape yesterday, the OC said, adding that police arrested Hiru Mia last night from their residence.
Father of a victim filed a case with Khalishpur Police Station in this connection.
