Man dies in Jamalpur train accident
JAMALPUR, Oct 24, 2020 (BSS) – A man was crushed under the wheels of a speeding train on the Jamalpur-Mymensingh rail route of Sharifpur area in Sadar upazila this morning.
The deceased was identified as Nurul Amin, 48, son of late Abul Kashem Sarkar, a resident of Kuchgar village of the upazila.
Police said a Dhaka-bound intercity train (Brahmaputra Express) from Jamalpur hit Nurul Amin while he was crossing the railway track at around 8.00 am. He died on the spot.
Being informed, police recovered the body and sent it to Jamalpur General Hospital morgue for autopsy.
