12 Kings players to join national team’s camp on Oct 27
DHAKA, Oct 23, 2020 (BSS)- Bashundhara Kings agreed to leave their 12 players to join the national team’s residential training camp on October 27, four days later after starting of the camp, a BFF press release said here today.
A total of 36 players were called up to the training camp ahead of the FIFA friendlies against visiting Nepal scheduled to be held on November 13 and 17 at Bangabandhu National Stadium.
Among the 36-member preliminary squad, the highest 14 players are included from Bashundhara Kings, the Bangladesh Premier League champions of 2018-19.
Bashundhara Kings started their practice from September 1 last and it was continued till October 15. As all the players of the club were in a long practice for the last 50-55 days so the club offered holidays to all their players till October 30.
In this circumstance, the national team management committee of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) after discussing with Bashundhara Kings decided to shorten the players’ holiday and Bashundhara has agreed to send their 12 players to the national team’s training camp.
The letter also added that midfielder Masuk Mia Jony and forward Matin Mia won’t be available in the camp until they recover from injury.
