Man held on charge of cheating people with fake visas
DHAKA, Oct 22, 2020 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) today arrested a man on the charge of deceiving people with fake visas of different countries from Kusumbag residential area under Shah Ali Police Station here.
Assistant Superintendant of Police (ASP) Md Ziaur Rahman Chowdhury of RAB-4 told BSS that the detainee was identified as Siddiqur Rahman alias Siddique Biswas, 45.
He used to cheat people by setting up “visa processing offices” in different city areas, including Mirpur and Mohammadpur, for providing fake visas and also take money from people alluring them with the offers of jobs in Malaysia, Russia, India and European countries, he said.
During primary interrogation, the arrestee admitted his involvement in cheating people in the name of issuing visa and luring people with job offers, the official added.
