Boy electrocuted in city
DHAKA, Oct 21, 2020 (BSS) – A tailor boy was electrocuted while
ironing clothes in his shop at Ibrahimpur Bazar under Kafrul police
station in the city today, police and hospital sources said.
The victim was Rony, 20, son of one Bellal Hossain of Karimganj
upazila of Kishoreganj district, Inspector Md Bachchu Mia of Dhaka
Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) police outpost told BSS this
evening.
“Rony came into contact with live electric iron and subsequently was
found unconscious state in the shop no-651 at Ibrahimpur Bazar when he
was ironing clothes there,” victim’s uncle Mohammed Shamim told BSS in
the hospital.
With critical condition, the victim was rushed to DMCH, where
doctors declared him dead, he added.
The body has been kept in DMCH morgue for autopsy, Bachchu Mia said.
