Bangladesh’s economy in better position for correct directives of Sheikh Hasina: Khalid
DINAJPUR, Oct 20, 2020 (BSS) – State Minister for Shipping Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury today said Bangladesh’s economy is in much better condition compared to other neighboring countries due to correct directives taken by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
“We have intensified our diplomatic relations with almost all the countries of the world to fight the pandemic. We are tackling coronavirus for the last eight to nine months and the government is making every possible effort to recoup the financial loss caused by COVID-19,” he said.
The state minister said this while addressing a function organized at Bochaganj Upazila Parishad auditorium in Dinajpur, to distribute cheques of government donations among 82 puja mandaps of the upazila.
Reiterating the government call for following health safety guidelines, Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury said we have to follow the religious rituals in line with health safety guidelines.
“As the government successfully disseminated information related to health safety guidelines to the people through different campaigns, they ( people) are facing the virus bravely,” he added.
Presided over by Bochaganj Upazila Nirbahi Officer Chanda Paul, the function was further addressed by Bochaganj Police Station officer in-charge Md Nabi Hasan Khan and local puja udjapon parishad president Bir Bhadra Roy, among others.
