BHOLA, Oct 20, 2020 (BSS) –Awami League (AL) Advisory Council Member Tofail Ahmed today said tested leaders and activists of the party must be accommodated in the party committees.
“Tested leaders and activists must be accommodated in the committees…but those who are getting engaged in anti-social activities and behave indecently with the people would not be allowed in the party,” he said as the chief guest while addressing over mobile phone the triennial conference of the Belunia union AL under sadar upazila here.
The committees should be formed after consulting with all concerned, he added.
Regarding the catastrophe of the coronavirus pandemic, the AL leader said currently the country is facing the pandemic. “We are moving ahead under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina despite the onslaught of the pandemic,” he added.
“Even the growth rate has surged and our per capita income is more than that of India. Sheikh Hasina has made the country a role model of development,” Tofail said.
The people are now living in a good condition even in the coronavirus pandemic due to the steps taken by the Prime Minister, said the senior AL leader.
He asked the AL leaders and activists to follow the instructions of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Chaired by union AL president Abdus Salam Master, the function also was addressed, among others, by district AL general secretary Abdul Momin Tulu, Sadar Upazila AL president M Mosharref Hossen, its general secretary Nazrul Islam Golder, district AL joint general secretary Zahurul Islam Nakib and organizing secretary Mainul Hossen Biplob.
