GAIBANDHA, Oct 20, 2020(BSS) – Gobindaganj upazila nirbahi officer (UNO) has set up a unique example through giving a grocery shop to a man with disability at Khukhsia village of the upazila.
Office sources said Md. Awal Mia, son of Lal Mia of the village under Nakaihat union of the upazila, works as a muajjin of a local mosque for long and he used to get a little amount of money as honorarium against the job but he cannot maintain his family smoothly with the honorarium.
His sufferings and woes were published in social media at one stage, the UNO noticed the suffering stories of Awal Mia through social media.
Then the UNO took initiative to give a grocery shop with commodities to help pass the days and nights of Awal Mia without trouble.
Accordingly, the UNO arranged a grocery shop for Awal Mia so that he could maintain his family peacefully with the income of the shop.
On Sunday, the UNO handed over the shop to Awal Mia. The UNO also gave him 35 sorts of commodities to run the shop.
After getting the shop with its commodities, Awal Mia is so much happy and expressed his gratefulness to UNO Ramkrishna Barmon and wished his long life and continued peace for him and his family members.
The locals highly lauded the arrangement of the UNO for Awal Mia and thanked the UNO for taking such the initiative to help pass the days and nights of Awal Mia without hardship.
Talking to the correspondent, UNO Ramkrishna Barmon said, as part of the corporate social responsibility he had done it for Awal Mia.
