CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Oct 20, 2020 (BSS) – Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested an alleged arms peddler with two pistols, two one shooter guns, three magazines and eight bullets from Shibganj upazila of the district on Monday evening.
The arrested person was identified as Md. Rabiul Islam, 35, of Rohonpur Pirasan village under Gomostapur upazila in Chapainawabganj district.
RAB said, acting on a tip-off, an operation team of RAB-5 from Chapainawabganj camp raided a mango orchard at Koilabari village under Shibganj upazila in the district around 6.45pm and arrested Rabiul with the arms and ammunitions.
Later, the arrested person was handed over to the police of Shibganj thana.
A case was also recorded with the police station in this connection.
