DMP arrests one Huji member in city
DHAKA, Oct 19, 2020 (BSS) – The Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested one member of the banned militant outfit Harkat-ul-Jihad-al Islami Bangladesh (HuJI-B) from Paltan area here, said a DMP release today.
Thirty-year-old Sa’ad Mohammad Quamran was detained yesterday from Culvert area under Paltan Police Station last night.
The CTTC recovered a mobile phone, a memory card, a laptop, a hard disk, a micro SD card, a booklet and several leaflets of the banned Hizb ut-Tahrir from his possession.
The detainee is a teacher of a school in the capital, the release added.
