Commission to unmask patrons behind Bangabandhu killing demanded
DHAKA, Oct 19, 2020 (BSS) – State Minister for Information Dr Murad Hasan today demanded formation of a judicial probe commission to unmask the perpetrators who had patronized the killers of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his family members.
The state minister placed the demand while he was addressing as the chief guest a discussion marking the 57th birth anniversary of Sheikh Rasel at the Jatiya Press Club this morning.
After the tragedy of August 15, 1975, Murad said, Ziaur Rahman came to power and tried to erase the spirit of the liberation war, started the politics of communalism and hatred.
“The anti-liberation forces were rehabilitated with the patronization of Ziaur Rahman and then the wheel of the history was turning back”, he told the function organized by Bangabandhu Sangskrit Jote.
Dr Murad said, “We must have to present the real history of independence to the youths and at the same time we must have to aware the nation about the misdeeds of the anti-liberation forces.”
Chaired by Chittaranjan Das, the programme was also addressed, among others, by Awami League leader Baloram Podder, M A Karim, artist Khandoker Rafiqul Alam and actress Aruna Biswas.
