Worker dies falling from under-construction building in city
DHAKA, Oct 19, 2020 (BSS) – A construction worker died after falling
from the fifth floor of an under construction 13-storey building at Mohakhali
DOHS under Cantonment police station here today, police and hospital sources
said.
The deceased was identified as Noor Alam, 20, son of Kader Ali of
Kurigram district.
“The incident took place at about 3 pm today . . . He fell from the
building when he was working in the floor at Mohakhali DOHS,” Inspector
Bacchu Mia of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) police outpost, told BSS
this afternoon.
Soon after the accident, he was taken to DMCH where duty doctor declared
him dead, he added.
The body was kept in the morgue for an autopsy.
