DHAKA, July 4, 2018 (BSS) – A motorbike passenger was killed and its
rider was injured as a speedy bus rammed their bike from behind in capital’s
airport area this morning.
Police however, managed to seize the killer bus and arrest its driver
Azizul Haque Sohag from the scene with the help of local people.
The deceased Md Nazmul Hasan Fuad, 35, was going to his workplace in
Mohakhali from his Mollartek home in Dakkhinkhan area using ride-sharing
service Pathao.
“The accident took place as the bike reached the airport intersection
area at around 9.30 am. The BRTC double-decker hit the bike, leaving Fuad
dead on the spot and bike rider Mirazul Islam seriously injured,” Sub-
inspector of Airport Police Station Md Sharif Hossain told BSS.
The body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) morgue for
autopsy and filing of a case is underway.
