Four held with counterfeit medicine in C’nawabganj
CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Oct 18, 2020 (BSS)- Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested four medicine dealers for selling fake Indian medicine from Nachole in the district on Saturday.
The RAB also seized huge amount of Indian fake medicine from their possession.
The arrested persons were identified as Md. Aminul Islam, 29, of Chanpara village under Fatepur union in Nachole upazila, Md. Nawshad alias Godhu, 40, of Fakirpara Miapara under Gomostapur union, Md. Nazimul Islam, 45, of Vitabari village under Gomostapur union and Md. Apel Rahman, 22, of Gomostapur Fakirpara village under Gomostapur union all under Gomostapur upazila in the district.
RAB said, acting on a tip off, an operation team of RAB-5 from Chapainawabganj camp raided Mollikpur Bazar under Fatepur union of Nachole upazila in Chapainawabganj district around 5 pm and arrested them as they were selling the fake Indian medicine in the aforesaid village market by hawking.
The sources added that during primary interrogation they admitted of their involvement in Indian fake medicine business.
Later, the arrested persons were handed over to the police of Nachole thana.
A case was also recorded with the police station in this connection, the sources further added.
