Conspirators will not be allowed to hinder dev: Law Minister
Brahmanbaria, Oct 17, 2020 (BSS) – Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Advocate Anisul Haque today said if country’s people remain alert conspirators will not be able to hinder the development activities of the government.
“Conspirators are still active in the country and they are trying to hinder government’s development activities to tarnish its image but they would never be allowed to do so as people are aware of the evil acts” he said.
He made the remarks after inaugurating a 10-bed Mother and Child Welfare Centre at Bayek union under Brahmanbaria upazila through video conference.
Anisul said the Sheikh Hasina government has amended the law incorporating death penalty as maximum punishment for rape in the wake of public’s demand and it’s not the reflection of government’s weakness.
Upazila Vice-Chairmen Rashedul Kawser Bhuiyan Jibon donated 53 decimal of land for the Mother and Child Welfare Centre.
Deputy Director of family planning department Md Matiur Rahman, District civil surgeon Md Ekram Ullah, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Masud Ul Alam, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Hasiba Khan, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kasba police station Md Lokan Hossen, teachers , journalists and elected representatives, among others, were present on the occasion
