DHAKA, Oct 15, 2020 (BSS) – The state-owned Bangladesh Telecommunications Company Limited (BTCL) has started providing free telephone and internet services to the family members of the country’s Bir Shreshtha.
BTCL said they are feeling proud to be able to serve the families of the national heroes who sacrificed their lives for the independence of Bangladesh.
As part of this effort, BTCL provided the first connection to the residence of Hasina Haque, first daughter of Bir Shreshtha Nur Mohammad Sheikh, at her Sahapara residence in Jashore’s Nilganj on October 1, said a press release today.
BTCL adopted a policy to this end which was approved by the 180th board meeting.
According to the policy, family members of Bir Shreshtha will be provided with a residential telephone and internet connection free of cost under the BTCL service areas in compliance with the availability of network.
