Pradip’spetition to meet family, lawyers in jail rejected
CHATTOGRAM, Oct 13, 2020 (BSS) – A court here today rejected a petition of Pradip Kumar Das, former officer-in-charge of Teknaf police station, over meeting lawyers and family members in jail.
Metropolitan Sessions Judge Ashfaqur Rahman rejected the petition after hearing both parties as Advocate Rana Dasguptafiled the petition on behalf of OC Pradip.
The court also rejected another petition over letting Pradip to talk with his family members and lawyers through mobile phone from the courtroom.
OC Pradip was produced before the court today over a graft case filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission.
On August 23, the ACC filed a case against Pradip and his wife for amassing wealth worth Tk 4 crore from unknown sources.
Mohammad Riaz Uddin, deputy director of ACC, filed the case at the integrated court of Chattogram Divisional ACC office.
