DHAKA, Oct 13, 2020 (BSS) – Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of ‘Ekushey Padak’-winning litterateur, eminent writer and researcher Rashid Haidar.
In a condolence message, the prime minister said Rashid Haidar will be remembered for his contributions to research work on the great liberation war and Bengali literature.
She prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family.
Rashid Haider died of old-age complications around 10am here today at the age of 79.
