Govt takes all kind of initiatives to protect workers: Munnujan
DHAKA, Oct 12, 2020 (BSS) – State Minister of Labour and Employment
Begum Munnujan Sufian said the labor-friendly government has taken all kind
of initiatives, including financial benefits, to protect workers during the
coronavirus situation.
The State Minister was speaking after paying homage to the portrait of
Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Dhanmondi 32 on the
occasion of the 51st founding anniversary of Jatiya Sramik League, a national
trade union federation affiliated with Bangladesh Awami League, said a press
release.
Government would ensure highest punishment for women and child abusers,
rapists and terrorists, she said, adding, Jatiya Sramik League, the vanguard
organization of Bangladesh Awami League, has been working for the welfare of
the working people since the time of Bangabandhu and will always be by the
side of the people.
Among others, Labor Affairs Secretary of Bangladesh Awami League Habibur
Rahman Siraj and President of Jatiya Sramik League Md. Fazlul Haque Montu
spoke on the occasion.
Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman founded Jatiya
Sramik League on October 11 in 1969.
