Car accident kills 3 in central Vietnam

HANOI, Oct 11, 2020 (BSS/XINHUA) – A car accident in Vietnam’s central Thanh Hoa Province killed three people on Sunday, Vietnam News Agency reported.

A seven-seater plunged into a river, killing three people inside the vehicle early Sunday morning, the news agency reported, adding that two victims were 37 years old and the other was 36.

The three victims were found stuck in the car a few hours after local authorities came to the scene and conducted rescue work, according to the report.

Further investigation is underway.

Between January and September this year, a total of 10,354 traffic accidents occurred in Vietnam, killing 4,876 people, severely injuring 3,127 people and slightly injuring 4,482 others, according to the country’s Traffic Police Department.
