DHAKA, Oct 10, 2020 (BSS) – Light to moderate rain or thundershowers
accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at a few places over
Sylhet division and at one or two places over Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna,
Barishal and Chattogram divisions and weather may remain mainly dry with
temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, a
met office release said here today.
The low over the North Andaman Sea and adjoining area now lies over the
East Central Bay and adjoining the North Andaman Sea as a well marked low. It
is likely to intensify further. Trough of low lies over Bihar to Assam across
West Bengal and Bangladesh.
Monsoon is less active over Bangladesh and weak over the North Bay, the
release added.
Country’s highest temperature 36.3 degree Celsius was recorded on Friday in
Rangamati and the lowest one 22.6 degree Celsius was recorded today at
Tetulia.
Maximum rainfall for the last 24 hours till 6am today was recorded by 51
millimeters (mm) in Chattogram.
The sun sets at 5.36 pm today and rises at 5.54 am tomorrow in the
capital.
