Road accident kills two in Sylhet
SYLHET, Oct 9, 2020 (BSS) – Two people were killed and seven others
injured in a road accident on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway in Othirbari
area under Daksin Surma upazila of the district this evening, police
said.
The identities of the victims could not be known immediately.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Daksin Surma Thana Akhter Hossain said
the accident took place as the wheel of a passenger bus, coming from
Moulvibazar, burst and overturned into a kennel around 6.00 pm in the
area, leaving a 40-year-old man and 13-year-old girl dead on the spot
and wounding seven others.
The injured were taken to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital, he said.
