2 accused placed on 12 day remand in Noakhali woman assault
NOAKHALI, Oct 8, 2020 (BSS) – A court here today placed two accused Kalam on a- ten day and another Shahed a- two day remand in connection with assaulting a woman after undressing her in Begumganj Upazila in the district.
Chief Judicial Magistrate of Noakhali Mashfiqul Haque after hearing the remand prayer passed the order, Sub Inspector Mostak Ahamed, also the Investigation Officer (IO) of the case confirmed.
Earlier, police produced the two accused before the court and filed several petitions seeking a-twenty one day remand for Kalam in three cases and four day remand for Mainuddin Shahed in two cases.
The victim assaulted woman filed three cases with Begumganj Model Police Station on October 4 and October 6 under Women and Children Repression Prevention Act, Pornography Control Act and rape case implicating Kalam and Shaed.
Ten people have so far been arrested in the three cases filed in connection with the incident.
