Two killed in Gazipur road accidents
GAZIPUR, Oct 8, 2020 (BSS) – Two garment workers were killed in two separate road accidents on the Dhaka-Tangail highway in the district today.
The deceased were identified as Anowar Hossain, 26, a resident in Tangail district, and Md Harunur Rashid, 50, an inhabitant of Mymensingh district. Both used to live in Gazipur city.
Police said Anowar died on the spot as a covered van hit his motorcycle in front of Bhawal Badre Alam Govt College on the Dhaka-Tangail highway at around 8 am.
Besides, another accident occurred when a pickup van hit Harunur Rashid in Srirampur area under Kashimpur police station early this morning. He died on the spot, said Officer-in-Charge of Kashimpur police station Mahbubey Khuda.
