41 journo receive PM’s financial support in Faridpur
FARIDPUR, Oct 8, 2020(BSS) – Forty one journalists of different media today received Prime Minister’s financial assistance to cope with the adverse impact of the novel coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Atul Sarker handed over the cheques among the journalists in a function held his conference room .
Journalists from electronic and print media of the district received the cheque amounting to TK 10,000 each, from Bangladesh Journalists Welfare Trust.
Speaking on the occasion, DC said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is media- friendly and she has brought most of the professional bodies including journalists under financial support as a part of her relentless efforts to deal with the pandemic situation.
He urged the journalists to highlight the development successes of the present government through their objective reporting.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Roksana Rahaman , Faridpur Press Club (FPC) President Kobirul Islam Siddiqui , General secretary Moshiur Rahaman Khokon and Journalist Panna Bala, were among others, spoke on the occasion
