Man arrested with 1.99 kg heroin
CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Oct 7, 2020 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested an alleged drug peddler with 1.99 kg of heroin from Godagari upazila under Rajshahi district this afternoon.
The arrested person was identified as Md. Rabizul Islam, 50, hailing from New Islampur area under Chapainawabganj municipality.
RAB sources said on a tip-off, an operation team of RAB-5 from Chapainawabganj camp raided Ramnagar village under Godagari upazila in Rajshahi district at around 2 pm and arrested Rabizul with the heroin worth around Tk 2 crore.
Later, the arrested person was handed over to Godagari thana police and a case was recorded in this connection, the sources added.
