NOAKHALI, Oct 7, 2020 (BSS) – A court here today placed a person on six-day remand and two accomplices of gang leader Delwar on two-day remand over their alleged involvement in sexual assault on a woman in Begumganj.
Earlier, Begumganj police pleaded remanded for Saju and main associates of Delwar – Md Sohag and Nur Hossain Russell.
Investigation officer of the case, Mostaq Ahmed told BSS that after hearing the remand application, the court placed the 5th accused of the case, Saju on a six-day remand under the Women and Child Abuse Prevention Act and Pornography Act.
The other two accused were placed on a non-bailable two-day remand under the said acts.
“Even today, no lawyer stood up for them in court,” Noakhali Bar Association President Mollah Habibur Rasul Mamun told BSS.
