DHAKA, July 3, 2018 (BSS) – United Arab Emirates Ambassador to Bangladesh Saed Mohamed Al Mheiri today called on Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury at the latter’s office here.
During the meeting, they discussed issues related to bilateral interests, including parliamentary activities, trade and manpower export.
“Relations between our two countries are fantastic and it is possible to further strengthen the relations by expanding bilateral trade and making the visa process easier for Bangladeshis,” the speakers said, urging the Gulf state envoy to take more manpower from Bangladesh.
Dr Chaudhury also called upon the UAE to be on Bangladesh’s side and continuing its support in peaceful and sustainable repatriation of Rohingyas.
The UAE envoy also expressed his country’s interest in taking more manpower from Bangladesh, saying, “Bangladeshi laborers are keeping the wheel of economy of his country going.”
He also assured the UAE’s support for Bangladesh over Rohingya issue.
