DHAKA, Oct 4, 2020 (BSS) – Two grandsons of former attorney general KS Nabi were allowed to enter their ancestral house following an order of the High Court last night.

KS Nabi, who served as the attorney general from 1996 to 1998, died in 2018, while his younger son Siratun Nabi, father of the two children, died on August 10, 2020. Parents of the two children took divorce earlier, leaving the child to live with their father. But after their father’s death recently, the two children went to their mother’s house to live with her for a couple of days.

But after their return, children’s uncle Kazi Rehan Nabi, who is a Supreme Court lawyer, was allegedly not allowing them to enter their house.

Supreme Court lawyer advocate Manjil Morshed while taking part in a TV talk show, highlighted the matter and the one of the paternal aunts of the child also acknowledged it on the live TV show.

After learning the matter from the TV programme, Justice Abu Taher Md Saifur Rahman of the High Court Division issued a suo moto order in the middle of the night, asking the Dhanmondi Police Station to take the two children home and ensure their security.

After the court’s order, Dhanmondi police took the children home at around 1.30 am today.
