JOYPURHAT, Oct 3, 2020 (BSS) – Department of Social Service distributed Taka 64 lakh recently among 128 poor patients suffering from chronic diseases under the Social Safety Net programme in the district.
The poor people who have been suffering from cancer, kidney complications, stroke, paralysis, heart disease, liver cirrhosis and thalassemia got the money under the Social Safety Net programme in the fiscal year 2019-2020.
District Assistant Director of the Department of Social Service Moinul Haque said each patient got Taka 50,000 for their treatment.
