Afghanistan reports 7 new COVID-19 cases in Kabul

KABUL, Oct. 3, 2020 (BSS/XINHUA) – Afghanistan on Saturday reported seven new COVID-19 cases after health authorities conducted 59 tests within a day, bringing the number of total cases to 39,297, the country’s Ministry of Public Health said.

“During the past 24 hours, seven positive COVID-19 cases were recorded in Kabul, and no new cases were registered in the other provinces,” the ministry said in a statement.

Up to 1,462 deaths have been recorded since the outbreak of the pandemic in February, an increase of four within the past 24 hours.

Out of the total infected people, 32,842 patients have recovered.

Laboratories across Afghanistan have completed 111,580 tests since February.
