BFF AGM held peacefully

DHAKA, Oct 3, 2020 (BSS)- The Annual General Meeting of the much-hyped Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) election concluded through a festive atmosphere at the City’s Pan Pacific Hotel Sonargaon.

The AGM got underway at 11 am with the presence of 136 out of total 139 councilors as well as the members of BFF’s executive committee.

Seating BFF president Kazi Mohammad Salahuddin and BFF general secretary Abu Nayeem Shohag presented their reports while BFF senior vice president and finance committee’s chairman Abdus Salam Murshedy presented the financial statement in presence of the delegates.

After the approval of the financial statement, the AGM came to an end for the lunch break.

A delegate expressed his satisfaction by saying that the AGM was held peacefully by and well managed with a cheerful atmosphere.

The election, which started at 2pm, is scheduled to end at 6pm.

The delegate will exercise their voting right to elect the 21-member committee comprising the president, a senior vice-president, four vice-presidents and 15 executive members.

The three-time BFF president Kazi Salahuddin-led Sammilito Parishad, or combined panel, has a full panel of 21 members, while ‘Somonnoy Parishad” or coordinated panel, has 19 members.

Earlier, the BFF polls scheduled to be held on April 20 last before the BFF postponed it for an indefinite period due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
